Learn more about the change here

  • What is changing?
Just a password of logging into the wireless network eduroam, which is available in all buildings of the University of Pardubice. Most often, you enter it on mobile phones, tablets or laptops to access the Internet via the eduroam network.
There is still the same login name as the NetID and it is followed by the extension @upce.cz, but the password is new, different from your existing NetID password.
  • What isn't changing?
Your existing NetID, including your password, will not change, and you will continue to use it to log on to your computer and information systems at the University of Pardubice.
  • When did my eduroam network connection stop working?
Never. Only since Monday, July 1st, 2019, at 8:00 am, a new password is required. From then on, all devices need to be re-authenticated with the new password.
  • Where can I find the eduroam password?

On the university Intranet in your personal profile (top right).
    For students https://studenti.upce.cz/en
    For employees https://zamestnanci.upce.cz/en.

  • What happens if I don't find out the password on time or I won't know it?

Nothing terrible happens. When you are not connected to the eduroam network (after the above date), you will need to find your Intranet password over a different data network. Then you set up the connection to eduroam with a new password.

  • Why is it needed?

The main reason is the higher protection of your existing NetID (your identity) that you use to log in to the information systems of the University of Pardubice.
It is not safe to use the same combination of the name and password also for eduroam, which is broadcast in other organisations all over the world where we cannot ensure their protection.

  • Who is affected by the change?

All the students and employees of the University of Pardubice who use the eduroam wireless network.

  • What is the validity of the password and how can I change it?

The password is valid for 4 years. It is automatically generated, you cannot create it, but you can choose it from the generated designs (Reset Password button). You can reset the password as many times as you want.

  • Where can I find the eduroam network?

You can find it at UPa wherever there is a Wi-Fi signal. https://eduroam.upce.cz/en
There are more than 270 providers in the Czech Republic. https://www.eduroam.cz/en/start
